There have been only a couple of occasions in my life where I briefly toyed with the idea of getting a tattoo. And I realize that, had I gotten any of them, I would regret it now. There are no images that I wish to commit to that permanently. I guess I just ain't a tattoo person.

Not to mention I am a wuss about ouchies....

I had a friend who (long Navy yarn short) got a dragon tattooed on his chest in Hong Kong. I was always jealous and, after he died in a car crash (another long post Navy yarn) I considered on more than one occasion getting one in his honor.

But after a Navy career that included trips to everywhere that had good tattoos I never did get one. I could do it now that I'm old enough no one will ever say 'that will look bad when you get old' but, yeah, sticking a needle in my skin a few thousand times to transfer questionable inks directly into my system doesn't do a lot for me.
