something I am grateful for today

johncomicI felt a bit stymied by this today. I got to work only to discover that my music player is suddenly dead, for no discernible reason. It's essentially a little boombox with AM/FM radio and a disc player that plays audio CDs or MP3s burned onto CD-Rs. I use it at work cuz my PC suddenly developed garbled sound one day which comes and goes, I can't fix it, and that's not a high-priority item for our IT crowd. So I can't count on the CD drive in my computer for music.
Anyhoo, yesterday my music player was fine, today it's dead. So I'm kinda nonplussed and thinkin' it's hard to be grateful for something like that.
Then I thought, well, guess I gotta get a new one. And it occurred to me: a new one isn't hard to find and isn't all that expensive, so I should be able to replace the dead one pretty easily. And that is something to be grateful for.
So there.
PS: by coincidence, my PC speakers are being good boys at the moment, hence the music listing which accompanies this entry!
