- i make someone laugh and i intended to

- it first rains after a long warm dry spell and this fresh but indescribable scent fills the air

- someone answers my fan letter with a real reply

- my kids hug me

- there are no dishes to do

- it's a clear blue fresh-warm day, the car stereo is playing Pat Metheny, and i have the highway all to myself

- a woman with dark-brown eyes looks my way

- i have some time at home alone and it's not because i'm off work sick

- i get new art supplies

- there's an uncommon spectacle of nature on display [rainbow, meteor shower, one of those giant orange-gold moonrises, etc...]

- my kids wanna talk math/science geeky sutff with me... and they can follow it all

- i unexpectedly stumble across a book, CD, whatever that i've wanted for ages... and it's unbelievably cheap so i don't even need to wonder if we can "actually afford" it

- things actually work the way they claim they will

- my little brother calls

- my hair does what i want it to

- someone gets safely rescued

- i re-read a book and it's as good as/better than i remembered

- life becomes more like The Jetsons

- people ask to see my work

- i'm at the beach

- gas gets really cheap just as i need to go in for a refill

- people i like play board games with me

- i talk with a friend i haven't heard from in a while and there's no initial awkwardness

- a flower splits open pavement and forces its way thru

- i get to hold a baby for a while

- the fat-free sugarless version tastes just as good

- you've seen a movie so many times that you can almost quote it verbatim, but you still love it just as much every time you see it, and part of what you love now is the fact that you can anticipate every bit as it comes up

- a beautiful woman stays in view long enough

- i can go lie down/nap any time i feel like it and no one has a problem with that

- my massage therapist is only using one hand to work on an area, and she lets her free hand rest on me anyway

- my kids kiss my forehead if i have a bad headache

- i finally finish a comic, song, etc. and i think it turned out okay

- someone thinks i'm worth it
